A rare opportunity to purchase a complete set of 12 ice cream, dessert spoons by the legendary Silver Smith and Enamelist, Jacob Tostrup.

The first Scandinavian house to experiment with enamel ornamentation on holloware about 1880. Each spoon measures 4 7/8\" long, the bowl 1 1/4\" across. The modernist designed handles in champleve enamel front and back.

Markings: Each hallmarked Sterling/J. Tostrup/Norway with a designed monogram that we are not familiar with.

Excellent condition. Gilding and enamel in tact, normal scratches on vermeil.
