Vintage Sewing Box by Princess
Pink braided wicker box, flat pink lid with shoelace style handles and a fabric applique poodle
In good condition with only minor wear. Handle has some small frays, Poodle has some lifting and dust. Inside foam has disintegrated and been scraped out.
Measures approx 12\" wide, 8.5\" deep, 7.5\" tall
Circa 1950s based on patent information. We labeled this as wood - but after reading the patent it is actually paper that has been woven and dipped in such a way that it can be used as a wicker braid. The invention is really quite interesting and you can find more info by searching the patent number and reading the filing.
