This is very nice and highly collectible vintage Zuni Knifewing sterling silver bolo tie with beautiful stone on stone inlay of mother of pearl, turquoise, spiney oyster, jet, malachite and what looks like a few bits of tortoise shell made by Alonzo Hustito, who is credited with being the creator of the Rainbow Man design in any style of Zuni jewelry, as well as the first creator of of Knifewing in the mosaic overlay/inlay style of Zuni jewelry. Toshio Sei devotes 13 pages to Alonzo Hustito in his book \"Knifewing and Rainbow Main In Zuni Jewelry\". Itis signed with Alonzo Hustito\'s mark A H with a bear stamp above his initials. It is not marked sterling, but acid tests as 90% or better silver. The slide measures is 2.14\"high x 1.93\" wide at it\'s maximum dimension. The beaded sterling tips are 2.0\" long and tarnished with a few small dents but basically straight. It has a 4mm braided black leather cord which including tips is 38\" long. The leather is in good condition. The Bennett Pat Pend.stamp on the rear clip dates this piece to between 1968 and 1983. Email any questions. Good Luck!
