Vintage Small Makah Lidded Basket Canoe Scene Northwest Coast Native AmericanThis is a very nice Makah lidded basket from Northwest coast of Washington. It is very finely and intricately woven with a canoe design woven into two sides and a design on top. It has some type of bark beautifully woven into the rim and on the bottom of the basket. I am unsure of the age but I believe it to be from the 1940\'s or 50\'s. It has a couple of place where the weaving is worn as you can see in pictures but it is in overall good condition as you can see. It is a smaller basket and measures approximately 1 and 3/4 inches tall and 2 and 3/4 inches in diameter.
