Check out this nice antique Sofian Zapf violin bow for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!

A party recently was awarded this item, but then never paid. So, the item is available again for your buying advantage!

The violin bow was made by Sofian Zapf of Germany. The bow has a 6 sided shaft. Some minor loss of the finish along the shaft. Nice looking frog and adjusting screw on it. The bow has no cracks, splits or repairs to the wood that we can see to report to you.

On the violin bow shaft is impressed \"Sofian Zapf\" on the shaft above the frog. Has \"Germany\" impressed on the bow shaft under the frog. The bow still has a great finish on it. Good camber. Strong flex to the shaft and we can ascertain no warping, splits or repairs to report to you. Nice leather and black/antique white colored winding on the bow, that is securely fixed on both sides. Some of the metal winding is coming undone.

Nice mother of pearl inlays on the sides of the frog and along the bottom. Squared back on the frog. Silver colored end screw with ebony middle. The bow is 29-1/8\" long. The bow weighs 2.2 ounces with horse hair. The violin bow will need to be rehaired. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

Sorian Zapf was trained as a luthier in Germany after WWI and then came and set up a music shop in Philadelphia, PA.
