Here is a nice old Made in Japan Santa or Elf figure. He’s on a wooden sleigh nicely decorated with snow accented with mica glitter. In a paper barrel behind him he carries a Christmas evergreen tree. Tree is made from a material softer than bottle brush but not as soft as chenille. The figure wears a red crepe paper robe and hood and carries a shiny axe with a silver foil head. Santa or elf has spun cotton head with pink button nose, spun cotton hands and feet and white cotton beard. Original wire hanging loop in top of hat. From a very fine estate. Piece measures about 4 ¼” long at stands 4” to the top of the leaning tree as shown. You can barely see the remains of the Japan mark on the bottom. Excellent vintage condition with no tears, separations or breaks.
