This is a vintage Darth Vader Mask. Don Post Studios Copyrighted 20th Century Fox stamped inside the helmet along with a do not use as a safety helmet warning. My imagination kind of drifts off to a scene of a construction worker showing up for work with a Darth Vader helmet. Lol! To the best of my research these were the first of its kind beginning a long line of Star Wars items to follow all the way to the present day. This dates around 1977 the same time the release of the first Star Wars movie. If I am wrong... please correct me. It has some scratches and some wear throughout the helmet and mask both inside and out. Please examine photos. The mask also has the same stamp on the inside as the helmet along with the safety warning. Please look at photo 4, there is a chip and a small crack on the base of the helmet. Might need a tad of mending to prevent farther damage. Its a great collectors item or for a costume. Just remember its not a safety helmet... Please no returns. Thanks For Looking. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a two piece mask. It has the face mask that goes on first. The helmet goes on top of the mask. Both the helmet and the mask have velcro to keep the two pieces together. The helmet is about a 10 inches around at the bottom. The face mask is slightly under a foot long and is about 6 1/2 inches at the ear area of the head and is tapered at the neck to about 5 1/4 inches so it does not pop off. This is vintage collectors. I have seen masks like these with the start asking offer of around $80.00 to $100.00 so your getting a great deal on this one!! Thank You!
