Up for offer today are a wonderful pair of old steam pipe identification plates. I don\'t know the exact age of these, but they appear to be quite old. I found these in the bottom of a large box of old, bronze boat parts that mostly dated from the early 1900\'s through the 1930\'s. Most of the other boat parts found a home on my old vintage boat, but these two plates are still looking for a home!
These plates are the type that would be mounted on a bulkhead where a steam pipe, similar type pipe, or valve, would pass through. They both have a salty, vintage look and patina to them, complete with surface wear and scratches. In other words they are well worn with that antique look and patina!
One ring is 6 3/4 inches across and the other is 5 1/2 inches. One of the photos has a ruler next to them forcomparison.
These old \"steamship plates\" would look wonderful in any nautical display or collection, or could easily be put to use on an old vintage boat.
