Vintage sterling cigarette case. Designed to hold an entire pack.

Bottom marked \"sterling\" with a pattern number of 970. No manufacturers mark or date mark.

Exterior dimensions are 3 5/8 x 2 1/4 x 1\".

Undoubtedly Japanese in origin. Though it isn\'t marked, I was told this was the type of souvenir a GI would have brought back after WWII.

Hinged lid wth push button release. Button works well when pack is inserted to create pressure. Without the pack to create pressure against the button, it is slightly loose but still closes.
