STUNNING & RARE...Vintage Sturdy Large Oak Splint Pack Basket With Handle Adirondack Woven & Cloth Strap

Beautifully made large oak splint pack basket with hand notched wooden handle. Measures about 20 inches high and 14 inches wide. The opening is about 13 inches at the top rim. This has the original cloth strap for hiking or fishing. Fantastic for display, unusual large size with lovely ageing and patina, has a few weavers missing, split and chipped at random, all shown in the photos however remains very sturdy. The rim is wood wrapped with splint. Large wood bands are used in the bottom as well to make it capable of carrying heavy loads. Has many more years of life left in it.
