Up for sale is an ORIGINAL TAMIYA HOTSHOT, 4X4 Mono shock electric buggy. It is in very good shape, nothing broken on the chassis, gearbox or anything. it has all original parts, all original electronics inside, mechanical speed controller, 2 vintage futaba servos, they have a plack with futaba indirect drive written on instead of a sticker, very detailed. You even have the humped battery installed, comes with standard stock motor. you have the driver head and original heating is there, steel ariel is fitted in, tires seem new, not even ran, are all original (there are fine cracks on them when you pinch them and take a closer look, it is 20+yrs old!)you have the torsion/sway bars, the rare and always missing resistor and the very cool fined heat sinks at the rear.It is missing front top body cover and bumper and remote control. I can include a vintage pistol grip futaba controller but it will come at an extra $15 cost, I can post pics of the controller upon request, just excluded cause many will already have a controller with them, just saves the buyer some $$.I have opened up the buggy, screw by screw and cleaned every part in soap water, rinsed with warm water and dryed everything before assembly, just putting it together took me a straight 6hrs, mechanically it is missing NOTHING, the drive cups all have the little C-clips that hold them in, all nice clean tenth, no visible where. suspension works smoothly, very well balanced buggy. It has made in japan molded inside.Only issue I found was that the steering servo has its mounting flanges cut off, I did not change to another cause its the vintage type with different pin type connector. It mounts securely though. For those wanting to run this, I would say, change to a modern electronic system. Another is that the connector to the battery has been cut off, these can be soldered and fixed. the rims are all nice and clean, no kinks or scratches, underneath, very little scratch marks, it almost looks clean!. Buggy has not been run by me or tested, all I can tell you that it is Mechanically SOUND, drive shafts and cups are in very good condition, very little wear, with the bumper and top cover, she will be a fine shelf queen or a light runner!PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES, I WOULD HAVE HAPPLY PUT 24 PICS IF I COULD, THERE WAS TOO MUCH DETAIL I WISHED TO CAPTURE
