I\'m a magazine addict. Nothing makes me happier than getting a bunch of new magazines. Except maybe a bunch of new magazines and a cupcake. Since I\'ve been looking into getting some backyard chickens and building some sort of cool chicken coop I really wanted to see how it was done back in the day. So I\'ve been leafing through some very nice vintage poultry magazines and would like for someone else to enjoy them too.

May 1891, The American Poultry Raiser and Live Stock Journal. Devoted exclusively to poultry, live stock and bee raising. Pages are not numbered but I\'m counting 20 pages.9 by 11 3/4 inches. This issue has articles on Clydesdale horses and feeding young turkeys. There is more information and less advertising in this vintage magazine than the other vintage poultry magazines I have listed. But still neat old ads.The cover is actually light pink and not quite as faded as it looks in the photo.

This magazine ships for $4. and will go priority mail. When you buy a second (or third or fourth) magazine of any type it ships for just 50 cents.
