Description Featured is this beautiful vintage Tiffany & Co. sterling silver martini shaker with tapered sides and slightly round cover. The spout is covered with a small silver cap attached with a safety chain. Circa: 1926-1947

Metal: Sterling SilverWeight: approx. 26.24 troy ouncesSize: approx. 9.25" high, 2-3/4" wide at the bottom, 3-3/4" wide at the top, 7" wide including handle and spout.There is a lot of engraving on this historical shaker. The cover at the top is engraved R.L. JR. which, based on my research, could possible stand for Robert Lassiter, Jr.The side is engraved with the initials C.S.P., ELKIN, Christmas 1933 and C.C.J.Engraved on the bottom is TIFFANY & CO., 20622, MAKERS, 11893, STERLING SILVER, 925-1000, M and what looks like 7009 lightly hand etched beside the M. Also on the bottom is 3 PINTS and the number 4 under that.On the sides are engraved signatures of 14 people. Several of the people named here I believe belong to very influential families. The following are names that I can read and identify:Frank L. Polk, Jr.Lawrence R. GoodyearBrinley M. HallSamuel B. WebbS. Reed AnthonyJohn B. LeakeCharles P. WilliamsonBrooks GrandH. Lawrence Bogert, Jr.The following are names that I can only read part of and can not confirm:Charles F. P_____Lawrence W. R________Donald RyanWilliam H. GillespieJohn C. W_______I did some research into some of the names above. Several of them are confirmed as being ushers at the wedding of H. Lawrence Bogert, Jr. held in the early 1900's. Because of this it appears that many of these names engraved here are of people, or families, that might have been friends for many years. I wish I knew more of the history of this beautiful piece.Condition: Good. There are no major dents or broken parts to this shaker. There are several scratches and discoloration, along with a few tiny dings consistent with age / normal use.

Dark, light and reddish areas are camera / photographer reflections.
