Vintage toy Ford Thunderbird highway patrol police car, must be about 1961-1963 vintage. Printed sheet metal. Approx. 9.5 x 3.5 x 3\" and 8.3 oz. Ferrous metal - a magnet picks it up. License plates front and rear say \"FORD.\" Thunderbird hood ornament. Rather beat up (by yours truly...) The roof has been smooshed down a little. Possibly a viable restoration project or just park it on the shelf.

The right rear wheel drive shaft is disconnected and the wheel is floating loose within the fender. If there ever was a friction drive (don\'t remember for sure) it now feels completely disconnected. There is a shaft running up through the interior that may originally have driven the rotating light. The rotating light itself is missing. The shaft isn\'t correctly aligned because of the roof deformation.

Someone asked, \"what is the diameter of the metal hubcaps/wheel covers?\" Ans: the painted metal wheel disks look to be about 27mm in diameter. The tires themselves are hard rubber or plastic and are about 33mm in diameter.
Found a marking under the rear window that says \"ICHIKO\" and \"MADE IN JAPAN\"
