ThisGerman-made Junior toy typewriteris an engineering delight! Made by Schmidt Brothers in Stein/Nuremberg in the 1920\'s, this toy needs only a roll of 3-1/2\" wide paper plus a ribbon. It is in perfect working order with no missing parts. The cylinder on top has two rows of letters with the English alphabet in both upper and lower-case and is manually rotated to the desired letter. One of the side levers works as a shift key and the other lever causes the entire carriage to move forward towards the cylinder and the letter is printed onto the paper with inked typewriter ribbon. The typewriter keyboard is illustration only. Very good condition overall with only minor cosmetic defects. The overall size with the carry cover is approx 9\"w x 8\"d x 5\"h.
