Up for offer is an ax used for trading with Native Americans in the 17th and 18th century. Don\'t know who made it but they usually came from several countries in Europe such as England and France. They ranged in size from 4 1/2 inches to around 7 inches in length. This is one out of my collection that I started about 35 years ago when I stumbled across one in Canada. My wife is from Canada and we travel there once or twice a year. I have been lucky to accumulate a pretty good collection of them. This one is 5 1/5 inches long and a little over 2 inches wide, it is a little pitted. The handle is 14 1/4 inches long and is cracked in several places but not all the way through,as you can see. I am in my seventies and going to let someone else enjoy them. They are very hard to find so take advantage of them while you can. I DO NOT HAVE A RESERVE Good Luck
