This is a solid axe head with no breaks or cracks. There is some light pitting , surface rust, darken area\'s and also so flaring to the edges from hitting it with a solid object.
Handle eye has been beaten on top side of the head. Beating the head on my guess. But stillusable.Blades are 4-1/2 in. There are a few nicks , chips to the blade edge. It has been hand sharpen by the previous owner.Yes the head is darken, scratches, surface rust from age, use and storage. But over all a clean head. The weight of the axe head is 3 lbs. 11.4 oz.
It is a nice head for chopping wood or cleaning smaller branches up, also carrying in the outfit in the woods.Axe head goodusable axe head that needs sharpen and a handle.PLEASE look at the pictures closely to see the condition of theAxe.
