Pair of antique US Forest Service 2 channel handheld radios type SF, model C. SN\'s 104 and 301. I have been unable to find any documentation on these particular radios but research indicates the Forest Service built their own communications equipment in the 1930\'s and 1940\'s. These are both battery powered and have miniature vacuum tubes.Both have a 6.5 ft.collapsible antenna that screws into the top and is held in a mounting bracket on the side. Both have canvas hand straps attached and in good condition. I purchased these at a ham radio swap meet about 30 years ago and they have been taking up space on a shelf since that time. I have never tried to power them up but the internal battery sleeve appears to accept standard D cells. Both are clean and in good condition for their age.
