Vintage Karl Unger & Carl Schneider
This bisque figurine originally was intended to be a cigarette/match holder.The howdah on the top of the elephant was the holder. The side has ribbed areas that serve as match strikers.
On the back of the right leg of the elephant there is a number 10043 which is visible and above that there looks like some type of mark (I used a magnifying glass) and it was still not very clear but there is something there.
It is an unusual piece and definitely a conversation piece.
