Vintage VIETNAM US Army Shirt, AIRBORNE & Africa/South Europe Task Force SETAF:

The shirt was issued during the late 60\'s or 70\'s, during the Vietnam conflict years, we believe, as we have owned and sold shirts from those years and the labels and other characteristics are similar to this one.
But please observe this shirt\'s label are so washed out that it is now impossible to see the original size or the contract number, or any other specs.
We compare this shirt with a size medium we have here, the same kind and time period, and this one has roomier measurements, so we believe it is either a roomy size 15 (medium) or size 16 (large). Please check the following actual measurements and make sure it fits;
- 22 1/2\" across the chest, pit to pit (23\" if stretched a bit);
- 24\" from shoulder seam to edge of cuff;
- 17\" shoulder to shoulder across the front of the shirt;
- 29\" from collar seam to hem along the back.
Notice that in spite of a rather roomy chest, the shirt has narrow shoulders, only 17\" across the front of the shirt, seam to seam.
The name strip patch is old, Vietnam time, we are certain (the name seems to have been stamped or \"decaled\" on the fabric) but the SETAF patch might be from a later time.
The owner was with SETAF, the Southern European Task Force, which was formed in 1955 until 2008, when the command was designated to be part of US Army Africa, we believe. The patch is from before that happened.
