Early 1900\'s Erphila double spill vase with a parrot perched right in the middle. I just LOVE this piece!

The vase part and base is done in a lusterware glaze with a very dark grayish blue border. The bird is a glossy blue and yellow macaw and his tail feathers sort of wrap around the bottom bar of the perch. This porcelain piece is marked Erphila Bavaria. We have estimated it to have been made in the 1920\'s-1930\'s but it could even be earlier than this as it has a very Victorian feel to it.

It is in excellent condition even considering its age. We see no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a line acrosee the back of the vase on the left which is a manufacturing flaw because it is glazed over with the original lusterware glaze.

Overall, this is a very special piece and would make a fabulous Christmas gift for the bird lover, the vase collector, the lover of all things Victorian. Or buy it for yourself just to have a smile every time you look at it.
