Vintage WILLIAM MOORCROFT"LEAF AND BERRY" Ashtray c 1928-1949 MINT! Description- From a local estate I am pleased to offer a lovely vintage octagonal ashtray made by Moorcroft, England
- The pattern is "LEAF AND BERRY" on a forest green background, one of the most collectible early patterns
- My reference material states that this dates from 1928 to 1949, with the full William Moorcroft signature
- This piece has such a wonderful color and rich patina
- Fully handpainted in bold colours
- Virtually mint condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, damage or restoration and no sign of burn marks to glaze indicating it received minimal use
- Some typical fine pottery glaze crazing commensurate with its age
- Measures 4 1/4" across
- Four recesses
- Marked as shown in photo
- Please ignore white spots on photo caused by camera flash
- These would make a wonderful addition to your Moorcroft collection
