This is a vintage West Point cadet\'s hat that was used from 1903 to 1927. It has a West point cap badge on it. The hat was made by The M.C. Lilly & Co., Columbus, Ohio. That name was used from 1882 to 1927. In 1927 it became the Lilly Company. Before 1882 it was the M.C. Lilly Company. When M.C. Lilly died the name was changed to The M.C. Lilly Co.The name G.D. Harvey is stamped inside the sweat band. The hat has issues. The stitching on the sweat band is failing, the sweat band is worn and flaking in spots,there are 4 small moth holes in the top and the hat needs cleaning. Otherwise the hat is in good shape. There is no size given that I could find, but it is tiny. I would guess 6 1/2 or 5/8.We will be listing more of this estate hat collection.
