Very nice vintage Wheaton Apothecary Pharmaceutical Medicine glass jar with a glass lid that is held in place by a cast iron clamp that screws down to hold lid in place. The jar is 8 1/4\" tall without the lid, approximately 9 3/4\" tall with the lid. The base is approximately 3 3/4\" in diameter and the mouth has an exterior diameter of 2 7/8\". The lid is embossed \"Wheaton Apothecary Products Since 1888\". The base is embossed \"Wheaton, N.J.\" and with the number \"7\". There are 2 mold seams and a recessed rectangular area on the front of the bottle intended for a label. The glass jar is in generally very good condition, however, there are several very small chips along the lower edgeof the lip. The glass lid is in good condition with a series of nibbles on the inside of the lower rim (the part that fits within the bottle). Ihave taken closeup pictures of the small chips--at this magnificationchips appear larger than they are. These chips don\'t really detract from this vintage piece.The rubber seal and iron clamp are in very good condition. A great vintage piece that you can use for visual storage in your kitchen or bathroom.
