Vintage Wood Turned Mahogany Fruit Compote Bowl HUGE ENORMOUS VGC:

I measure approximately 18\" in length, 8 1/2\" wide and 8 1/2\" high and weight of 2 1/4 lbs. It came from an elderly ladies\' estate sale who died at age 96. There are no scratches on the wood, only some areas that looks like melted wax (see pictures). I cannot be certain and they may be able to be cleaned off. The bowl itself looks like mahogany, however, I am not sure, the spindle looks pecan and the base looks pine. Please review pictures carefully and email questions before offerding.
