Vintage Woven WICKER CHINESE DARNING BASKET Decorated & Beaded
This is a beautiful vintage CHINESE/VICTORIAN woven WICKER ladies\' DARNING BASKET. It is in excellent condition, and comes with the provenance inside. The original owner was \"Effie Millicent Beane Craven, Randolph City, North Carolina (1878-1965). We are also told that is sn early 1900\'s vintage. We have never seen one in this condition...it looks almost new, except for the rich patina. It measures 8 1/2\" across and 3\" tall with lid. The beading is still strong, the tassles are in good condition, the Chinese coins are still very readable and the handles are still tightly connected.
