A great example of a vintage woven splint picnic basket!
Wood frame, woven wood splints, bent wood swing handles and wood hinged lid.
Assembled with small copper nails/brads, the handles are attached with copper metal rivets and the lid has fancy copper metal hinges.
The bottom of lid hascloth strip with brass staples to hold utensils.
Beautiful vintage condition, shows a warm vintage patina from use and age, still very sturdy and useful!
The outer surface is a wonderful warm brown varnish.
Measures 21 inches Long x 11.5 inches Wide x 12.75 inches tall.Stands 18.75\" H w/ handles in upright position.
