This is a beautiful Zuni pin by Marie Kallestewa. Kallestewa worked at Zuni trader C. G. Wallace\'s post. She is known for her mosaic overlay and her work is characterized by geometric designs. This pin was made in the late 1930s or early 1940s. It is made of silver, turquoise, coral and shell (which could be mother of pearl). The coral is not entirely matched. There are 3 lighter pieces and 2 darker pieces, but they blend together with the other materials to make a truly elegant piece. The pin is 2 3/8 inches long and 7/8 inch wide. It weighs 15 grams.
