Vintage Zuni multi-color stone to stone inlay Rainbow Dancer kachina stone set up glued onto cardboard. Inlay materials include natural Blue Gem turquoise, spiney oyster, jet, and mother of pearl. Usually, a lapadarist would design and cut these multi-color stones so that they can be later set in silver by a silversmith. These stones can be kept as a display or made into jewelry, such as a ring, brooch, bracelet, or bolo tie. The top surface of the stones is flat and the individual pieces are glued to a black backing material, like a cabochon stone. The overall stone and backing thickness is about 3/16”. It is rare to see an old stone set up like this that was not made into finished jewelry! This is my LAST stone display like this that I will be selling from my collection.

Very good quality and condition. The stones were probably cut ca. 1950. Rare find!
