Description:

Welcome to my sale where I offer this doll that I purchased new in the 1980\'s at the Royal Doulton store in Flemington, NJ. I did not keep her box. She was made in England by Royal Doulton Nisbet & is an heirloom doll. She is (c) 1985 & her name is Melanie. She has a soft body with fine porcelain feet, hands & head. Her clothing is all original. She wears a velvet dress with a lace collar, white with pink floral pantaloons & boots. She wears a matching bonnet. She holds a bouquet of flowers in one hand. Her other hand has her hang tag. Her fine porcelain face is beautifully painted. The stitching that holds her head to her torso has come un-done. The long white threads are intact. I just do not have the dexterity in my hands to sew it back on. It should be an easy fix. I have kept her in a dresser drawer for years with the hopes of getting her repaired, but that has not happened. I am hoping there is an er out there that will spend a few minutes with a large needle & sew her back together. She is well worth it. She would measure about 18\" when she is back together. Her dress is much longer than her legs so that she can sit on your bed or a chair with her dress spread out. She is a vintage beauty.

Shipping:

We ship to the USA only via USPS & only to the address on your /PayPal accounts. Our goal is to ship within 5 business days of receiving cleared payment. We usually ship sooner. We are glad to combine items if we can safely do so. We charge a nominal handling fee. This nominal fee helps us to defer expenses & keep the starting price of our sales low. Please remember we have no control over the high USPS charges.

VINTAGE: We will use this term to describe an item that we believe to be or have told is over 20 years old.

ITEM CONDITION: We will always describe items to the best of our ability, knowledge of the item or what we were told at time of purchase. Items are usually vintage or pre-owned unless otherwise specified. Vintage & pre-owned items are rarely in perfect condition. We will point any flaws that we can see or are aware of. We are not perfect and may miss a minor detail. If this happens, please contact us. We have a smoke free home. We are owned by three cats and cannot guarantee that a stray hair or two will not make it to your home.

REFUNDS: All items are sold as is. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the seller. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. We do not refund for buyers regret.

SHIPPING CHARGES: We receive emails from potential buyers asking if we can lower the shipping charges. We cannot. We know postage is expensive (we are also buyers). My husband worked for many years in a 55 & over community. He brought home boxes and boxes of \"stuff\" that was either discarded or given to him. I have also been an avid collector for many years.
