Vintage chalkware Chef stringholder from 1930-1940:

Vintage Chalkware chef string holder has space behind head for holding ball of string which is passed through the hole in the chef\'s mouth, These string holders were used in 1930 and 1040\'s when string was used to wrap packages . The piece has some paint loss thoughout the face and some discoloration. There is a small chip to the upper right hand side corner hat . There is a hole in the back top area for hanging the piece.
