After discussing the name with another member in the community, the name of ship is now either \"Gruzia\" - the ship name, if it originated from the USSR division/state Georgia or the name is \"Georgia\", which was also the name of another ship built in the 1930\'s, also in the USSR division/state of Georgia . Because the name of the ship is usually at the aft - IMO - the image is of the USSR ship liner \"Georgia\" as it looked in 1952. This information is still up for further review and I welcome any other information that can be provided. Therefore, I do not place an confirmation of the name used in this sale. IMO - this box is pre-1975 - due to the image, paint features, and other characteristics of the box.The miniature lacquer box painting is a high quality image of the Russian (Georgia state) cruise ship \"Gruzia/Georgia\" - image of the ship is approx. from 1952. The box\'s image and colors are very bright, charming and quite appealing. There is minor chipping to some of the edges, due to age and handling wear (?).Although the box is in VF/VF+ condition with noticeable defects and/or scratches, it really is quite an astounding piece of miniature lacquer painting history and stunning workmanship from the Fedoskino region. I could not find a signature on the lid, but it could be very well blended within the artwork.SIZE = approx. 6\"W x 4.25\"L x 1-7/8\"H
