An old embroidery picture, in a glass-fronted wooden frame.
It appears to be silk on a coarse woven linen cloth - but I have not taken it out of the frame, so I cannot be certain.The picture shows what appears to be a scene of traditional cooking in an home from the distant past.
There is a woman in a headscarf, who is stirring a pot.
There are two men - one is carrying bundles of something (presumably rice?).
The other man is holding a stick (or possibly a rope) in one hand, and a small basket in the other.
I really don\'t know what he is supposed to be doing.I am not sure how old this picture is, or where it was made.
It has an old label on the back.This is hand-written in ink, in English. It gives the title Cooking Rice.The frame measures 10 1/2\" x 8 1/2\" (26 x 21 cm) approx.
(The frame is rectangular - the rather odd angle is because of trying to photograph it without getting reflections from the glass.)
Weight is 440g approx.

Vintage picture, in very good condition. It has kept its colours well.The backing paper on the back of the frame is slightly here to see some similar pictures
