Vintage silver-gilt and enamel souvenir spoon - Chemnitz - picture bowl:

This vintage silver-gilt souvenir teaspoon is in very good condition for its age, with the enamel appearing complete. There is a picture of the Stadttheater (Town/public theatre) in the bowl, and theChemnitz coat-of-arms on the stem end with \'Chemnitz\' on the stem just below the crest. The style of the stem is Jugendstiland the spoon probably dates from late 19th/early 20th Century. The gilding is complete, with some tarnishing on the reverse of the bowl, which should come off with careful light cleaning, if desired.

The reverse of the crest carries the marks \'800 KFK\' indicating 800 silver and \'Geschutz\' below. The spoon is approx. 118mm/just over 4½\" in length and weighs approx. 13.7g.

The items I am selling are from my own collection, whichI have built up over 20+ years. I have decided to rationalize my collection and concentrate on fewer areas, and so I am selling the items which no longer fit in with my collecting criteria.
