My friend had many baskets. I remember her using this basket to hold mail and magazines (rolled up). Then she had it near her stove to hold her little recipe books, soft spatulas and other kitchen things.I think the Harris Basket Inc. of Vernon,Vermont could be out of business by now. This is a very well made basket. The leather handle made it easy to grab hold of. Approx 6 by 9\" and 9\" tall. I would say it is in very good plus condition--the only thing I took notice of--faint water stains near bottom from setting near her stove/sink area. Otherwise--doesn\'t show signs of use. Enjoy!!
