The frame is brand new and was made specifically for this painting. This is a very fine quality still life by well-listed Italian artist Vittorio Gussoni. Born in Milan, Gussoni was noted for both his nudes and still life paintings, often combining the two themes in one painting. However, Gussoni\'s simple still life paintings are very hard to find, even at the major sale houses. I have added a few additional photos of other Gussoni paintings at the end of my listing -- simply to highlight his style and verify his signature. Please compare those paintings to the one I have offered for sale. This small masterpiece is very reasonable priced.
