This is a vintage 1923 Corona Folding Portable Typewriter. It is in fair shape for its age. Keys seem to work as they should and the platen moves properly although a bit stiffly. The drawband is broken and this affects carriage return and key movement--simple replacement. Unique design, the carriage folds over the keyboard to fit the typewriter into its case. This does need a very thorough cleaning and lubrication. You can see that is has wear from use and a bit of surface rust on exposed metal parts and a bit more rust on the top right front on the ruler. The Serial Number is 572940, telling us that is was manufactured in 1923. Case is in rougher condition with the covering coming off in places.
