Excellent Vintage Condition!!
Classic scarce 1930\'s Art Deco ceramic china urn-shaped Wall Pocket planter vase in a peach and white luster glaze. What makes this so unusual are the great colorful graphics - cartoon figures of the early Mickey and Minnie Mouse used on the face of this vase. It has a stamped red mark on the back that reads \"MICKEY MOUSE/ COPR. BY/WALT E. DISNEY/ MADE IN/ JAPAN\". Minnie Mouse has a flower in her hat, polka dot skirt, white gloves and red shoes. Mickey Mouse is wearing 2-button red shorts, white gloves, brown shoes, and is playing with a toy airplane that Minnie is waiting to catch with open arms.

A little research finds speculation these were imported circa 1933 by Geo. Borgfeldt & Co. They were Commission Merchants operating a wholesale Import Order Business located in New York City.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. NO chips, cracks or crazing. There may be slight fading to graphics but not bad at all. There are some minor factory imperfections: a few glaze pops, a small skip in the glaze on the peach rim, a black dot in the glaze above Minnie, and two small black dots on the back. Typical MIJ ceramic imperfections. There is soil/scale inside mostly around the top which should clean up nicely. Overall, excellent for age.
