Up for sale is a 1950\'s wool varsity sweater for a navy college cadet of some kind. I purchased this sweater from the estate of a US Naval officer. Sweater appears to be made in 1953 for a 1957 graduating year and is the HL Whiting Co. brand of Los Angeles, CA. The sweater is 100% wool and in dark navy blue with gold chenille patches. The CH Monogram is at front with star, football, and track pins and left arm has a 57 along with cadet ranking insignia and a cross pin. Sweater has no jokes and is in excellent shape. Anyone who may know the school please let me know.
