For sale is a Vintage 40s GERMAN/FRENCH Leather Cyclist Jacket
no size label so please check sizes to ensure a good fit, approx Small
This is a French/German Cyclist Jacket in Brown Leather, Double Breasted with button front, 2 front chest zip pockets with early lightning zippers, 2 lower flap pockets, cuff stud buttons, cotton lining. Stunning example of original WW2 cyclist jacket, most likely of French origin but these jackets were made famous by the luftwaffe pilots during the war as they were purchased privately during the occupation of France and used extensively by the Whermacht during the war. Unsure if military issue, private purchase or civilian use as no insignia has been applied, however a lot of these jackets were worn without insignia. approx 1940s.
Measures 51 cms pit to pit , 60 cms top to bottom(top of shoulder seam, not including collar to bottom), 61 cms shoulder to cuff, 43 cms shoulder to note all my jackets are VERY OLD, RARE, GENUINE VINTAGE leathers. Some of them will have been worn for over half a century, they will show signs of use, general wear, marks, scuffs etc. I try to describe as accurately as possible but what i may consider to be an amazing vintage Leather with a stunning Patina might be seen by someone else completely differently. Vintage clothing is not for everyone so please be aware before offerding. Thanks
This is a rare jacket but is also well used/poor condition. Wear / scuffing and damage from regular use over time. some flaking/cracking to shoulder and collar. See all close ups. Lining ok. Jacket also has a cigarette smell.
