This sale is for an antique or vintage quilt quilt. This quilt has is hand constructed from soft, cotton small print shirting or feed sack fabrics in beautifully coordinated colors of blacks and whites matched with tiny prints to form the rays of the stars. It is all hand stitched at approximately 8 stitches per inch. The stars are appliqued to the front of the quilt. The pattern is Lemoyne star with eight points. Each point is constructed from two different fabrics; one is blue and the other is a soft print. Whole cloth backing in cotton muslin. No filling in this summer quilt. Please note the tiny hand stitches along the edges of the quilt. Beautifully stitched, this is a very special old, old, antique quilt. Please use the zoom lens to examine. This quilt measures 77 inches by 78 inches. Clean, but spots as pictured and one broken ray on one star. One break on the edge of one corner as pictured. We have pictured this quilt on a queen-sized bed to give you an idea of the size. Please measure your bed to make sure that this quilt will fit your needs. Mattresses are many different heights.
