Sleek and sophisticated, this Colibri by Kreisler lighter features an art deco design of lines and triangles.

The small pocket lighter measures about 1-7/16 inches tall, 1-9/16 inches wide and 3/8 inch thick.

The silvertone case is marked \"Colibri by Kreisler U.S. Pat. N 2267139 West Germany\" on the bottom. It is marked \"Colibri by Kreisler U.S. Pat N 2267139 U.S. Zone West Germany\" on the bottom of the lighter insert. My research indicates that Allied Forces divided Germany into four occupation zones after World War II and that the U.S. zone ended in 1949 when the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) was established. Therefore, this lighter dates dates from 1945 to 1949.

The lighter has no flint or fluid and is untested. I see no reason why it wouldn’t work but there is no guarantee at all.

Please review the photographs for condition. The pictures have some glare and various reflections, particularly black from the camera. The piece has light surface scratches. The lighter appears to have some dust and/or dirt by wick and in the crevices of the works.
