This vintage hard to find Wendt & Kuhn wood handpainted and handcrafted music box from Erzgebirge Germany is 10"T x 6-1/2"W.

It features Father Moon standing on a cloud surrounded by three angels and stars. The next level is a ring with ten sheep standing on clouds which circles around the angels and Father Moon when wound. It is key wound with a push/pull pin to start or stop movement. When wound the box plays lovely music..a lullaby or lullabies. The base is 8 sided and the box sits on 8 wooden legs.

Label: Erzgebirge Made in German Democratic Republic.

Good condition for age..the key winds..stopper works..music plays and sheep rotate. Father Moon is missing an arm..one angel is missing a wing..all ears, legs and tails on sheep accounted for but two tails are bent and some of the legs have come unglued from wooden ring. For the most part the background paint is in good condition with a chip here and there.
