Up for sale is this estate rescued little ashtray!

This little piece is very intriguing. It has a tribal like diagram in the center of an eagle which closely resembles the German Eagle, but it doesn’t match it exactly.

There are also vines, hearts and a four leaf clover like marking on either side of the eagle. On the top and bottom of the center artwork is an open vine border.

Around the edge of the piece is another border that is like swirls or waves.

On the back is a circle with what could be a makers mark inside. We have not been able to match the mark to anything or identify the pattern on the front.

This little piece has tones of brass and copper but on the back some of the finish has flaked off and the base appears to be zinc or some other type of soft metal. There are also a couple of dents that can be seen on the back of the piece.

There are 2 places to hold cigarettes. This piece was very dirty when we recovered it. We have given it a gentle cleaning with dish soap.

This piece measures about 2 7/8” x 2 1/8” x 1/4” tall.
