Infant of Prague Statue with Velvet & Lace Gownby Columbia StatuaryMade in Italy1963
Stunning Infant of Prague Statue made by Columbia Statuary in Italy in 1963. Stands over 16 inches tall to the top of the molded crown. A majestic 18 1/2 inches when you add the additional metal crown. Clothed in a Red Velvet Cape attached to Satin Cream Gown embellished with Gold Lace and Trim.
In wonderful clean condition with two shallow 1/8\" chips to the base as seen in Photos 8 & 9 which don\'t show under the clothes and one shallow 1/8\" chip and one 1/8\" scratch to the top of the head (Photo 10). Only the chip shows when the crown is placed on top (Photo 11). The original cross from the orb is missing so I replaced it with the original cross from the crown (Photo 5) and found a gold toned metal filagreed crown from another Infant of Prague to place on top of the molded crown (Photo 6). The molded crown is bejeweled along the front of the rim and on the central fleur de lis as is the metal crown. The lace cuffs are removable as is the gown but I haven\'t tried to remove them. The seam binding on the inside of the gown has some discoloration from rubbing on the gold bottom of the statue but again this is the inside and not the outside and for some reason the lace trim doesn\'t go all the way across the back.
