It is our pleasure to offer for your consideration from our personal collection in our smoke free home:A large, vintage clear glass, Barrel Style, General Store Pickle Jar/ Candy Jar/Storage Canister with a bale wire and wooden handle, and a metal lid.This is an extremely nicely designed jar with \"barrel\" design glass panels and this would be a typical jar found on the counter of an old general store.This is a large-sized 2-1/2 gallon jar. It is 13\" tall (without the lid) and is approx. 9\" in diameter at it\'s widest point. The lid is 4.75\" in diameter.This jar presents extremely well and would be a very functional and versatile storage container for Kitchen, Laundry, Office, Crafts, Work Room, etc.This jar is in very nice condition for it\'s age. The glass is in very nice condition and has no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. The glass sparkles and is very clear and not cloudy. The wood handle is solid and not cracked. This jar has normal wear and age that would be expected for an item like this that has been used and handled. There are only a few very light, minor scratches on the sides of the jar from normal use, but these are difficult to see in normal viewing. There are light wear scratches on the bottom where it sits. The bale wire is solid but has some light surface rust, which we always liked for the patina. However, the rust should be light enough that it could be removed with cleaning and some rust remover if this was the look that you wanted. The lid has some wear, a small dent, and light paint loss on the top edge.
