Cool vintage oval box purse with clear fancy lucite lid and handle. It has a metal closing, hinge, and handle to lid attachments. The sides body, opaque white plastic, is covered with a gold material of some sort decorated with 2 large butterflies on the front side. The material reminds me of fiberglass (specifically of those fiberglass lamp shades that used to be popular 50-60 years ago, but in actuality may be a silk-type fabric with vertical stitching, sandwiched by plastic. It may still smell like crayons but that is not too awful of an odor to deal with.Back seam of gold material applied was taped at some point and a bit of the tape has curled at bottom. The gold material is screwed into the box at the back center by the hinge screws, which are close to where the gold material ends meet. There is a minor chip measuring 1/8\" largest on the white base edge. Minor scratching on lid and 1 deeper scratch on top near the clasp - scratch does not go through so not a crack. One tiny whitish spot on lid edge but it is not a chip - still smooth but may have been banged at some point. A black speck on top near center front just to left of clasp.
