This stunning VINTAGE R. RUBER MODERNIST 950 STERLING STATEMENT NECKLACE is offered for your consideration. It is 950 silver, which is actually higher than the 925 standard. It is a hinged clamper & is slightly asymmetric, with fork like tines or bars. A true statement piece, it would also be considered Egyptian Revival.
The necklace is signed HAND MADE - M. RUBER 950 & has a hallmark, which I can\'t make out. Because it is hinged, it will open up to accommodate most neck sizes, but will probably look best on necks which measure no more than 16 1/2\". It measures almost 5/8\" wide at the hinge and the front bars/tines measure about 2 3/4\" x 2 1/4\". Thick and substantial, weight is 81 grams.
A very unique statement piece from a hard to find designer. Appropriate for gift giving or personal use - ready to add to a cherished collection!
