Graduated Drop EarringsThese lovely, lightweight graduated (four sizes) Navajo Bench Bead earrings were very blackened from improper storage, so I have had to polish them a little. They are on Sterling silver wire, and the ear wires are also 925 Sterling silver. Measuring 2 1/4\" (60mm) long from the top of the earwire, with the largest bead 1/2\" (12mm) in diameter, they weigh only 0.16 oz (4.5 grams) together - light enough to wear all day - and they have a lovely natural swing. They have been lightly polished (using a Sunshine Cloth) to bring up the soft shine of old silver, while leaving some of the natural black age-marks that really old Silver gets when it is not sealed away. The beads can be polished further if you wish; they come with a \"mini-care kit\" so you can get, and keep, exactly the combination of shine and patina you prefer.Bench-beads, each one hand-made with immense patience by careful silversmiths, always amaze me with how light they are, and how silky and delicate they feel, when compared with how sturdy they are - for all their age, only one bead has a tiny dimple in it - I have shown this one greatly enlarged, but it is barely noticeable in person.These earrings go well with anything from blue-jeans to the little black dress - and because they are not overly shiny, they are even suitable for the office.If you like old silver and real bench-beads, weathered and proud in their age, these earrings are for you!Please see photos for details, and don\'t forget to check measurements - photos are close-up shots, which can sometimes distort apparent sizes.
