Description Offered for your consideration is a vintage cast iron doorstop. This is an ORIGINAL...NOT A REPRODUCTION doorstop. Crafted of cast iron, this is created in a basket of flowers design. On the back, the stop bears the number \'3\' at the bottom right corner. The piece is in good as found condition, but, does have a nick on the bottom plate. There is some finish or paint loss to the places where is should be expected... and the base shows the most loss, but, overall, very minimum. We have left this door stop in \'as found\' condition and made no attempts to clean it. The flowers are of a deep pink rose, along with golden yellow, blue and purple flowers in the mix, with surrounding greenery and presented in a white \'woven\' basket and handle. We would guess that this is a doorstop possibly from the 1930-40s. As is often the case the \'3\' is the only identifying mark and we are unable to detect the name of the manufacturer on the piece. The basket stands 8 1/8\" tall and is 5 1/4\" at it\'s widest. It has a weight of 3 pounds 8 ounces and will ship at 4 pounds 4 ounces as it will be boxed for protection.
